Hugh Town - 17

Mumfords, Hugh Street by Sir Albert Richardson and C Lovett Gill, Duchy Architects in 1925.
Mumfords was originally in the centre of the row, but was built on the corner. The designs drew on an earlier building, and the windows matched the earlier design on Mumford's shop.
Anything in the manner of news, postcards, books - this is the place.
23rd May 2009
At one time the policy was that on Sunday (if they arrived at all) the Sunday newspapers would only be brought out for sale when all the Saturday ones were sold out.
