I believe this to be a young Cyanea Lamarcki, I have seen a few along the Promenade of late, just below the surface. They are ancient creatures from before the time of the dinosaurs; some have a protection system or a capturing system. Some are not actually jellyfish (like the Man'o'war), but best avoided, especially the Physalia physalis.This one perhaps 10 inches across.
