Jewell's Fish and Chip Shop, Chywoone Hill, Newlyn

Bin there a few years used to go there in my motorbike days 62 or 63 for 6 of chips and a piece of fish, old money of course1

Hope you haven t had your chips on your motorbike! As a matter of fact, we used to have a Jewell s fish and chip shop in New Street where there s an expensive restaurant at the top now. Are those Jewells all related, I wonder. I always remember back in the sixties how Mrs Jewell used to lick her fingers to pick up the next bag and some newspaper to wrap it in!

Nope, still ride motorbike now, they must be related, chips certainly tasted better in those days or is my memory just playing tricks. By the way after seeing your photo I know you and you know me and the common denominator is music!!
