My father had a provisional licence for all groups whilst he was working for TF Hosking (in the building later taken over by Parkers, later to be Branwell's Mill ), agricultural and seed merchant; it was mostly large trucks and tractors. 5 shillings a month. I think he also worked for Dan Wuille and Co, at Long Rock. Massey Furgusson, Bedford 5 ton (O type, I think, long bonnet and round nose grill), a large Guy truck (high fronted, a bit of a bow on the front, with a flat grill), and another something like the 1940s army trucks - had a vertical grill like a jeep, and sounded like a tank inside.
