Longships Lighthouse II

A little known fact is that my all time favourite painter (along with Ivan Aivazovsky) Joseph Mallord William Turner spent time in Cornwall; of course there are many others that more than grab my very soul and being. However Turner completed an oil painting of Land's End, with the Longships lighthouse, and an engraving was completed based upon that. Here, for comparison, is the 'new' lighthouse of 1875, with either side, Turner's work, in which it is seen that he saw the earlier smaller tower, as in Ludlow's postcard that is in his gallery.
