Well..... I didn't know who owned Madron Carn up until now and perhaps I'm showing my ignorance here but I thought rhododendron's were native to this part of Cornwall?
Anyone?
Unfortunately this is another result of imported plants/shrubs being let loose and wiping out indigenous species. Japanese Knotweed being another classic example. Proof if needed, take a look under an established rhododendron, what grows? Nothing.
