Meet the neighbours

Naples - ex US Army Crane barge, arrives at Penzance harbour.
Brought from Southampton (where she has been since 2006), by Tug Goliath.
More pictures later ...
BD-6074 Naples
264B Floating Crane (WYD) in service in 1950s; appears to have been built 1951; 1,630 dwt; 42.67 x 21.34 x 1.91 metres; Crane 89 tons at 24.4 m radius; auxiliary hook can take 15 tons at 37.3 m. BD 6074 was stationed temporarily, 2003, at Diego Garcia (Indian Ocean).
Appears to have been part of Transportation, Fort Eustis, Virginia.
The crane appears to have been built by AmClyde Engineering, probably worked via a 1,200 bhp Cummins diesel electric.

Thanks very much - the greatest interest will be in the diesel electric engines and the interior of the crane cabin, I know. Just put up this picture on Ships Nostalgia this afternoon, already passed the 30 hits mark. Major success for Penzance Dry Dock to get this contract.

I saw this from a distance this morning, and I knew that you would have posted pictures to inform the PP members.
