The state of the fishing industry at Newlyn is no better shown than on board this beamer, with weeds and grass growing through the nets; it is so bad that over this weekend, Stevenson fleet ships will be landing their catch at Plymouth; whilst there are some that are still fishing, most vessels are being repaired and re-painted, that is all the work there is for the men.
