I can relate to this as I also have an acct with LLoyds...but no longer.... also Halifax....But no longer......Abbbey National...But no longer.....BUT AND HERE IS THE BIG BUT!!! you may be wondering why I am replying to this...but I feel it important, it doesn't really matter if you bank with these banks or not.....it matters not as they distribute your info....think about it for a second.
These "phishing" scams would be ineffective if everybody realised that no legitimate bank would contact its customers in this way asking for sensitive information such as log-in details. The generic "Dear Customer" greeting is another giveaway, as are the typographical and grammatical errors often seen in these emails ("managment" in the case above).
It has been said that most of these come from Nigeria and are phishing for possible
account information to steal its contents, they seem to cover most banks and other
financial societies....never give out personal info over the internet I say...
