This photograph dates from c.1930 and was taken below St.Mary s church. Two of my uncles (both still alive) appear in the print as choirboys - Selwyn Jolly (far left) and Raymond Jolly (fifth from right).
 
Donald Behena, the organist and choirmaster, was music teacher at PGS (Penzance Grammar School, as it was then known) and Humphry Davy Grammar School in the 1940s and 1950s, fondly known as Doffy .
