Paul in the Snow

Our dog Duke. Doing well isn't he? He was 17 on Burns Night.
We have not been active for a couple of days as we have to sit down, discuss and make a difficult decision. Sadly Duke had to put to sleep today at the grand age of 17 years and 8 months. He was a good friend and companion and will be of course greatly missed.

Really sorry to hear that. We lost our best friend last year. Please accept our sympathy

I am very sorry to hear your sad news. It is one of the hardest decisions to have to make - I know; they are a special part of our lives, and actually - we owe them a lot, in getting us through Life itself. But, in the end, we have to express just how much we care, by not letting them suffer any more than absolutely necessary. Be kind to yourselves in your loss.

Sorry to hear that, like many been thro it many times, and it never gets better, but what a great age, that will be a source of many happy memories for you.

There are plenty of happy memories to console us, Every dog lover will tell you that theirs had a unique character. Duke vwas no different. The house feels just a bit empty at the moment though.

I sympathise - we have now had to put two of our cats to sleep over the Christmas period, one this past year and one in 2002. So every time Christmas comes around, we feel a bit low - I guess like you do every Burn's Night.
