My grandfather after surviving the Somme and Ypres, returned home and took up work on the railways, at GWR Ponsandane; the operator here was a friend of his; I have no idea of the date of this picture; he later worked for GWR, at Padstow during WWII. A more admirable man you would be unlikely to have met.
