Daymarks on the clifftop heath
These two daymarks were once vital to allow shipping to avoid the dreaded Runnelstone, which used to lurk menacingly just at sea level. The great twin towers of rock took many a ship to the bottom, or the ships landed at the foot of cliffs and were destroyed.
 
I think people ought to stop stealing those road beacons and leaving them where they don t belong! laugh#
