Portree II offloading at Bryher Quay.
Each pack of materials has to be offloaded one at a time,
carefully positioned by two men on the quay on palettes,
collected by tractor one at a time.
Each time the lifting gear has to be disengaged and rolled and handed back to the vessel for craning.
Let alone the crew of the vessel and the tractor driver.
The cost must be astronomical in comparison with mainland bulk deliveries and handling systems.
