I will add here that this may well look exciting and whilst I go along with the idea of having fun, I think that this kind of activity encourages many who do not appreciate the risks involved. This is not a safe hobby by a long chalk. Plummetting into shallow water, with uncertain currents will eventually require services from the emergency network. Ensure that a safe spot is found where the water is of a known depth (further along the Promenade). Make sure that there are no cross currents or undercurrents. There are too many risks for young lives involved here. It is all very well coming out with Life is Too Short - for some it can be even shorter or have injury and debilitation for the rest of their lives. Take Care.
The alternative on De-Evolution, you mean, the one that describes the self destruction of the species by the application of devoid synapses to what is obviously a stupid thing to do. Just think of the effect on that tiny girl on the prom, if she were to see that young person break her legs or drown having knocked her head on a hidden rock. Just think of the effect on the young person s family, as she is taken to hospital for years of bone setting. Oh, what is that .. think? If only people did in such circumstances.
There are groups of youngsters that do this in safety further along the Promenade - just having fun, but I get worried about this end of the prom, too much going on here. I thought it was a good shot too, and I approved it as such, but I simply could not drop the aspect that young lives and their health is at risk. When you have looked Death in the Face, it changes your thinking dramatically.

i feel that i must qualify this picture @ the time of the shot it was high tide.as for the safty aspect there were quitea few people jumping in and seemed to be very aware of each other.i also feel that if a suitable platform was introduced they still would jump here because of the regulation that would be involved.
