Reflections

The smaller of the two lakes at Boscathnoe.
Trengwainton took its water from Ding Dong; the two Reservoirs at Boscathnoe (originally known as Polteggan) were an extension to the older Polteggan reservoir, taking the name Boscathnoe from the lane, later. All provided by the munificence of the Bolithos.

Thanks for clarifying that, treeve; I had a feeling you may have known something about it. I was told some time ago that the smaller lake was Trengwainton s, obviously a misconception.

I have been looking into the waters of Penzance for some time (I get my head very wet); there is a great deal yet to be done. I discovered in the process that the pumping station was designed by Oliver Caldwell; I have the plans.

Another shame for Penzance - that the fine pump house at Boscathnoe is neglected and overgrown.

Ah, but there are no insurances involved and so no advice to cut away all those nasty dangerous trees . I despair of common sense ever penetrating - A London authority went against my advice not to remove a copse of trees, and then wondered why the site was a quagmire, and the brick walls were lifting, and the ground was water laden, and damp was rising up the walls (built 1900). Numbskulls.
