The rock pipit is a small bird that I have been trying to photograph for months without success, as they are hard to see when sitting in seaweed clumps or amongst pebbles, and they are on the move frequently as they search for their food; they eat their own weight in food per day, if not more. Their diet is mostly tiny periwinkles or larvae of flies, etc, and this little chap was unflusterd, as I stood three feet away, as he tucked into the food that he had found in the roots of this seaweed.
