RMS Scillonian (II).arrived Penzance March 1956; built 1955 J I Thorneycroft, Woolston Southampton; cost £250,000; 15.5 knots; 208.5 ft; 921 tons gross; History is long and complex (all details on my website); 1977 became Devonia Bristol Channel, 1982 as Devonian Torbay, then moved to Orkney and Shetland 1984 as Syllingar (Norse for Scilly), moved to Greece as Remvi 1986, 1989 saw her as Africa Queen at Guinea for UNHCR, Princess Eliana 1997 Ghana; as Olga J 1998 she ended sinking in Bulgarian waters 2004.
