Standing on the fill of the old Harvey Shipyards off South Pier.
Showing the top of the channel (the 'curved wall' mentioned before, below to the left); ahead the tide gates, below the modern bridge. The old gates had a walkway on the top, as far as I can make out, but there must have been an access of some kind other than that; I need to make more investigations.
