A sign of the times? Thoroughfare no longer open to pedestrians after the shop has closed up at the end of the day. This was once always open to pedestrians but the privilege has been withdrawn by Simpsons long ago because of its abuse.
Between certain hours - I have a memory of a weight scales, long before the parasites abused the priviledge. I heard that drink etc was a problem - there is just so much with which good folk can deal.
