Work on the Apache; I was puzzled by the large openings in the sides of the hull, this one cut to the waterline. As the tide pushed, the barge took a dive into the water, and sea spilled inwards. As each wash of water spread over the lower deck, the barge went in deeper. I have a suspicion she may become mudbedded before too long, unless they have the pumps to hand. She was certainly awash when I left her.
