I remember it so well. I can smell the polish from the pews and altar rail! There used to be a piano over the left of the pulpit and the choir seats (I was a member of he Junior Choir) were in that area too. The organ was on the right and just out of picture. The door on the right led to the Vestry and the Sunday School Room. The door on the left also led to the Sunday School Room but was blocked by the piano in my day.
Whilst on the Madron page does anyone have a photo of Madron back in the late 50's? I lived at 3 Hillside Row, Madron until I was 12 when we moved to spanking newly built Council estate. Hillside Row was demolished to make way for the bungalows which are opposite the Methodist Chapel.
