Steam Car 01

White's Model L - Lucy.
1908 Steam Car.
Promenade Penzance
23rd May 2010
The car had not worked since 1915, was restored from 1988. Has been working eversince, with the usual amount of cost and loving care invested ... however, I cannot imagine anyone would imagine doing the same thing with a present design in half a century ... unless someone invents a vehicle that runs on anti-gravity force, etc ....

Dr.Dyke, well known for his steam cars, there was one featured on TV a few years ago and rebuilt, Suggs was the front man. Dr.Dyke lives in the farm once owned by my Grandfather, and was where my Mother was born, and I spent many happy years there.

@ treeve there was an auction recently for a 1983 Ford Escort that had been placed in a time capsule (these are used to keep vehicles in their original condition)... anyway, it had 3 miles on the clock and never been taxed or M.O.T'd it sold for £100k+

That car had a certain Class about it. There is another car up the hill from me, I have been meaning to get pictures of it ...

No, it is a standard internal combustion engine ... I know very little about car designs .. it looks 1960s to me ... I will see what I can do ...

@ HH evidently there is a large building specificaly designed somewhere up north with 1st generation models of all cars shrink wrapped and kept in a controlled environment. I'd just love to see them!

@S55 yes I would love to see these too!
@treeve a vintage car I guess... love to see that sometime too!
