T R Jasper's

Thomas Richard Jasper was a Fruiter and Confectioner in Causewayhead, his daughter took over in the 1940s, here seen in the doorway; being a relative of mine, my uncle Bert Pascoe, had this photograph, unsure of the number of premises, but Causewayhead, on the same side as the Savoy.

Fascinating picture Treeve! Thanks for sharing it. It would be great to find out what number it was once ::15:

There are a few others, as I progess through, and get better, I will post them up, my problem is in remembering the details, my uncle died some time ago, I think this was in the 'stretch' near Lanxons, as was.

In Kelly's Directory, 1935, T. R. Jasper is at 23 Causewayhead. Lanxon Brothers are at no. 18. There is no mention of T. R. Jasper in 1939 Kellys

Thankyou, lass, for that information, excellent detective work. The photograph is older than I thought. :)

I also inderstand that T R Jasper, himself, was a butcher, by trade, obviously, this changed, when the business was 'handed over'.
