My wife and I, moving down from Devon after a year of working abroad, had a winter let in Rosemary Cottage, a little further right, in the late 70s, until taking up jobs in Penwith. Here is an instance where Mr Clifford, owner of the Abbey, had built a tower complete with copper cupola as part of his Portmeirionesque complex tucked away behind the Abbey at the bottom of New Street on the right.
