18th December 2008: Before work commenced on The Ross Bridge, the quayside of the Dry Dock had to be prepared. Excavating trenches and laying concrete foundation ties (here with temporary steel covers); Concrete requires 28 days to achieve full set strength. It now remains to be seen if, on this limited access and limited workspace site, the bridge is dismantled and carried and handled elsewhere.
