What s the situation regarding access from the west, i.e. how close a view can you get (if any) approaching from the Bosun s Locker end?

Access for pedestrians is from the Old Lifeboat House, across the new causeway from Jennings Slip to Abby Slip and up to Chapel Street, then down to the steps by the Old Custom House. At Bosun s Locker area, you will be met by a barrier, and that encloses a building site. The view is nigh impossible from there, and I gave an impression of the site in my previous three picture posted. Full of vehicles, equipment and personnel; I am trying to show what would otherwise be difficult to see for the everyday person as to what is happening. Information is extremely sparse and I intend making enquiries, where possible. See The Crossing - 1, 2 and 3.

Incidentally, with any luck, PP will soon be having another addition to my Grouse Season . There is a person who comes down to the top barrier on Abbey Slip, removes the barrier (as heavy as it is) shifts it out of the way. Allows the co person in the people carrier to pass, places the barrier back, moves the lower barrier ... ditto, and then they continue on their way to Jennings and beyond. They appear to consider themselves above the traffic arrangements, where pedestrians have been direct rights to this road for the duration of the contract. The barriers were then chained and padlocked to the road grille; they now lift the road drainage grille as well to allow themselves to pass. Just who do they think they are? How sad is that? We pay our road tax, and I can afford a people carrier, so we have the right to go where we please ... and tomorrow world domination ensues ... :-x

Thank you very much symons55, I feel the public have a right to see. It is not as if it is a government defence project.
