From the harbour slip.
The Wharf Road wall showing the bore holes for grout injection,
the face of the stonework was hole cut and is re-set as a grout hole facing plug.
I am puzzled as to why water is leaking from a few, as this should not happen; there are three streams which normally run away from the base of the wall, either the grout fill is not filling all the interstices and are not contiguous, or they are preventing the natural drainage of the road and subvoid space.
I am also puzzled as to why the old cast iron pipe is remaining; in the present state it is both dangerous and not in line with what I understood to be improvement works.
Perhaps this will be completed at a later date?
