The Fountain Inn

This is the Fountain Inn at the bottom of St Clare Street Near the top of Causewayhead. I think this picture was taken in the 1990s. Mostly because the pig market is already a car park in this picture. The elm tree has since been removed and the colour of the pub sign.... its now black and gold. What Halfhidden forgot to mention...that sparky had pointed out, was the road markings have now changed! the juntion has changed to the other side which isn't shown in this picture.(now everyone (who's on foot) has to wait for the traffic before they cross the road to causewayhead) maybe a Zebra crossing would be good here???
Zebra crossing ... but that makes too much sense. That would go against the grain? ::6: The Fountain Inn was named so because there was a fountain in the forecourt. This is my ancestral home as many family members lived here (Bullock Market Terrace). What I want to know is just where did the iron drinking fountain on the pig market wall disappear? So much disappears in this town it must be magic.

Are you saying there was a fountain in the forecourt? as in a water fountain? sorry for being silly....but I never knew there was one/ ::17:::12: ::17:::12:
