The Mission

Taken at the turn of the century
My granny used to spend a lot of time there at the services, she loved to sing, but couldn t read, didn t matter she knew all the words. My auntie used to work there when they had fund raisers. She also made trawler nets at home, but thats another story.

Love to hear it!...we are going to be doing a section on members memories....and it will be a section dedicated to their memories...what they did...what it was like living in PZ as a child...did you have running water....inside toilets and things like this......we need to know this in order to document Penzance from the real persons point of view....your memories are invaluable. ::15: Thank you for sharing with us so far ::6:

I use to play here after Tolcarne School closed for the day. My farther worked until 6pm at Coombe garage. We use to skim flat stones of the river as it entered the sea and in storms we would play chicken wit the waves. Often in the winter the waves would break into Newlyn flooding the shops and roads... Fun for kids though!
