Top Of Causewayhead

Taken 14th April 2008 at 10am. This picture shows a flat bed van parked on the pavement across a pedestrian crossing point. The driver is having a nice cup of tea. When challenged about his parking he replied that his mate had just gone to the toilet, and because his mate was diabetic he had to park on the pavement.
who's that on the roof?
remember this van... you'll see it again soon!
This is on one of the widest crossing points for pedestrians; it is also a blind spot, with meeting traffic, some heading down to the free car park (sorry, pedestrian precinct); you have proved that there are arrogant liars abroad. Just how did he get on the roof? And why? Why does diabetes offer an excuse? I have slipped discs and every joint has arthritis, does that give me an excuse to be a vandal?

I don t like crossing here at the best of times...you have to look left, right, left again, right again and so this goes on for a while, I think there should be a Zebra Crossing here

And before you comment on the Zebra Crossing saying it will be too close to the juntion.... there is one on Tarover Road. ( hope I ve spelt this right apologies if I havent!)

Maybe the one on the roof is ex R.N. and was a Second Mate! As for the driver, if he's kept waiting too long and drinks excess cups of tea, he's well-placed for a convenient dash!
