Trenow

The re-defined boundaries of Penzance were discussed and proposals were made in a report of 1928 (of which I have a copy), eventually in 1934, stones were set.
This one is the Trenow Stone. Others are at Mousehole, Sheffield, Tredavoe, Tregavarah, Heamoor and in Posses Lane (near the airport).
Knowing where they are does not mean that they are easy to find.
I m sure that I saw one of these alongside the fence of the heliport adjacent to the main road rather than Posses Lane, noticed it twice this week actually pondering whether or not it was mystery pic material.

That must be the one, as it was positioned well before the heliport et al. I searched Heamoor for one of them, but will have to try again, all I found was the cast iron base of the old signpost. Thank you.

I tried that, but either I am minus a few brain cells or the site is not well mapped; what options should I select to see that stone marked? I walked over to the heliport the other day, but could see nothing.

Just found the Heamoor and the Posses Lane Boundary Posts on my OS. ::6:
and the one at Dennis Place .... Now found my other 1:10560 and can now see where the Sheffield, Mousehole and Tredavoe ones are set.
