Victoria Square, Penzance

Nr 18 [James Caldwell's house] off Bread Street.
Built by Caldwell and Caldwell around 1868. Nr 18 was James Caldwell's house, and the workshops were to the rear, facing on to the square; they have now been converted into houses to match the rest of the square. James' father Coastguard William Caldwell lived at Nr 2 Victoria Square. By 1891, James senior had moved to Albert Terrace and his son Oliver Caldwell had moved to Morrab Terrace, a terrace designed by him.
