The Prom taking another battering.

A view along the Promenade to Newlyn from the Bathing Pool with the tide almost in and a very calm sea.

This is the view when looking back at Battery from the wall of the main Pier with the sun almost down.

On this promontory at Battery Rocks there was once a proper diving board on a metal frame. Mousehole lies just behind the headland in the distance.

Notice St Michael's Mount on the horizon on the right as the tide once more creates a rocky island at Battery Rocks.

Here across a calm sea, beyond the pier and lighthouse, may be seen the coast where lies eastern Green and Long Rock.

As the tide comes in around the 'island', St Michael's Mount may be seen in the distance.

This show the view to Mousehole across the bay with the bathers' safety path to the sea - no takers today! - and Barber's Pool (left of path) where they can take a dip in cold water regardless of the condition of the sea.

A view from the wall of the Bathing Pool and Battery Rocks at sundown to Newlyn. Railings have snagged some colourful fishermen's nylon ropes.

Looking southwards from Battery Rocks can be seen the Gear Pole on Gear Rocks. Prehistoric tools made of rock from here have been found in Scotland! Strong swimmers like to exercise by swimming out there but I have never dared to try it myself!
