Truro man arrested and bailed following Perranporth car crash

A 31-year-old Truro man has been arrested and released on bail following a car crash which left two injured. Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident in Perranporth yesterday lunchtime. A man and a woman were removed from a red Mercedes which had left the road. The woman was suffering from a sprained ankle and they were both taken to Royal Cornwall Hospital.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen either the red Mercedes or a black VW Golf heading in the direction of Chiverton Cross Roundabout on the B3284 from the Perranporth area around 1pm.
In particular they would like to speak to the drivers of a white van and a white car who police believe may have witnessed the incident.
