I've always thought, in cases like this where there is NO DOUBT who is guilty, and the act itself leaves the victim with injuries which are life changing, the offender should be given to the relatives for true justice.
Where's the "Tough On Crime, Tough On The Causes Of Crime" political rhetoric now?? They're more interested in traffic offences which all seem to carry a fine now, and that's before you even get to court. When you think about it, they've done away with innocent until proven guilty in most traffic offences, "You're guilty because we say so, now pay up". That's not Law, that's theft, and it's happening on a massive scale. Justice no longer has to be seen, to be done, how sad is that ??
