Alverton Street - early 1980s

I'm not sure what, in particular was the subject. I know my parents who lived nearby used to visit Kirks once in a while.
This presumably when zanussi dropped Branwell House from the sky . scaffolding up; and the pavement had beed ripped to shreds already on the right. Those nasty bricks on the left as well. I am hoping one day to see a picture of the NatWest Bank when it was two grocer shops, built around 1900 they were.

And I think the Home Office has now moved above Kasbar, so who is in their old office then>

There are so many shops that come and go that I am afraid that I take little notice these days. Is it a pram shop? Stability and purpose has gone out the window in the wake of ever increasing offers of Nirvana that never transpire.

The Fish Bar was fun by a Mr. Thurley who also had shops in Helston and Porthleven.
