Great shot treeve! Usually they dash for cover if you get within spitting distance. Out on a walk recently, a robin landed on a post literally about four feet away and stared at us as good to say So what do you think you're doing on my patch? Even though I had my camera at the ready, my hand shook with the excitement and unfortunately the shot was very blurred. It would have made a cracking picture. Still, it was reward enough to be that close to the robin.
Thank you, this character appeared a little slowly; the water has given a rainbow aberration; but I am finding that as time goes on the opportunity for these grows with quiet observation. True enough I have been THAT close to a robin or blackbird, but no chance of a steady shot, that is why I got the 30x lens, I keep trying.
