Father Matt Lethbridge with the lifeboat crew and men from Bryer rescued the crew of Italian ship Isabo, wrecked on Scilly Rock. The Italian Government sent a representative to the Islands to present medals and scrolls. But that was in 1927.
That could be it, there are a few white caps in the crowd, and Treeve s ensigns could be RNLI flags. Perhaps Ludlow can check the date? Is that Father Matt near the door?
It must be that, I had not twigged a possible date of 1927; See Hearts of Oak, with my family connection to the loss of the ship.
