my god! that is soooo..close as in the corner to drive around (not like today) and even Lloyds Bank looks like the latter part of building has been removed to make way for the corner that stands today? xx
The town council tried for many years to sort this corner out, but the land was too expensive. In the end the chemist was altered and about 10 feet was reclaimed for the road and later in 1924 the market house (now Lloyd's Bank) was altered and moved back 20 feet.
