Amazingly enough these children posed in front of an unexploded bomb. Apparently the bomb was taken away by the bomb disposal crew (Americans) and it exploded shortly after this picture was taken killing all of the crew!
BDS was at Tolver place the bombs were from the morning raid that hit Mabbots and Hoskings garage,one went off killing a soldier. Americans did not come to Penzance until late 1943 and were not involved in bomb disposal
