Gothic House

Gothic House, Nr 1 Leskinnick Place; built in the Strawberry Hill Gothick Style, in 1823, designed by Charles Hutchens. Restored by the benefaction of The Cornwall Buildings Preservation Trust; these photographs by Geoffrey Drewitt, architect of the scheme. Dated 1974, upon completion.
I remember this house well from my childhood. My grandmother lived on Adelaide Street so I was very familiar with it, there were tales about smugglers tunnels leading from the cellar of Gothic House to the sea. Never ever found out if there was a grain of truth in that.
