The father-in-law , who had spent all his life in the Royal Navy would play a game with his grandchildren which was to name each plateful, depending on size and ‘bow shape’ after a ship he had served on.
From your photograph, going by his standards, looks to me like two aircraft carriers accompanied by two battleships. If you engaged them at midday I trust that everyone did their duty and shortly all platefuls were sunk without trace.
