The estate is under construction in 1927 in this picture taken from Newlyn Harbour Pier, with an early telephoto lens , for the architect Frederick Drewitt.
I will get one for you ... have you seen in The Lounge that I am offering anyone outside of Penzance that I will photograph anywhere (within reason) and upload it for you, or, if you PM your email I will send it to you.
I go out most days, and trawl around looking for pictures, histerical (no .. historical) details, things that I have not spotted before (like a dalmatian), and ways of looking at old pictures that I have, for comparison. I know that there will be members who are far away from Cornwall and would enjoy a picture of their old home, etc.
OOHH Yes you are right in that we have members who have moved away.....and what an excellent idea that you are offering them..... wish I thought of that!! laugh#
I suspect a large amount of stone from the old wall was used to bolster the new defences after the Ash Wednesday storm; that will take me a while to sift through (by eye !!).
