Taken 14th April 2008 at 12:20 showing the all new parking bays in Penalverne. The old fashion idea of a pavement has all but gone, and replaced by a conveniently raised parking bay for the hard working (not thinking) tradesmen.
When I ran contracts, my specifications included full instructions on parking and nuisance; and the contractors knew I meant it; to that I would add that the specifications also included clauses covering double handling (the extra handling needed to take the items on to the site from a safe parking spot) and they were paid extra for that. I also blame the contract managers from the companies that employ these people for not running a tight contract. But where is a copper when needed?
