Wheel Clamping Banned

Wheel clampers are going to be banned from operating on private land in England and Wales.

Under legislation likely to come in next year anyone clamping a vehicle or towing it away will also face penalties.
Picture Penzance has heard many horror stories from drivers charged money for displaying a ticket upside down or left feeling intimidated by clampers.
Patrick Troy from the British Parking Association says that banning clampers will just lead to other problems, "How do you protect the land in front of your house if there is no ultimate deterrent to stop people parking there?"

Ha Ha! Excellent! Love the clamper running after his truck. Just been listening to some of the horror stories on the radio about what private clampers get up to - one guy was sitting in his car, engine running ... and he got clamped! Other stories included some of the various methods some clampers use to intimidate or bully.

Yeah the industry needs better legislation. What started off as property protection (stopping people from abusing your land by parking illegally) now seems to be nothing other than a money making legal way to mug someone.
