It hard to imagine now but Bruno's was doing a public service at night. Branwell lane wasn't lit by street lamp.... well not until the bottom end, so Bruno's was the only light in that part of the area.

Great memory's and a great shame that it's gone! Bruno's was original, not like any other pub.
The whole of Eastern Green has changed and now looks ugly. You could now be entering any other town in the UK, Fast food outlets, Supermarkets and a ugly filing station where this once stood! Shame on the planners!!
