Hayle power plant

Another view of Hayle power station. You might remember that in the early 80's there was a government plan to build a nuclear power station at Hayle.

      I reckon a hot air generating plant at Westminster - massive free energy. The Blighted Landscape.
      Power Station was built 1910, closed and demolished 1970s.

      The power station opened in 1910 and was owned by the Cornwall Electric Power Company,and nationalised about 1948and was owned by The Central Electricity Generating Board. It finally closed in 1977 making about 180 men redundant.I know I was there.
