more of fire

A bit over exposed in foreground, anyone name the firemen?

Where, in the garage, can t remember him, I remember Tony ? and the other lad, they eventually went to Blewett and Penders. I remember a John Rogers in S.W.E.B.

There was a jack Rogers who always rode a Lambretta in the Speed Hillclimb, I imagined that he worked at Parade when at Market Jew St. not sure though. Later there was a gent who worked at BandP , could have been the same, he had a James then a Honda 90 and lived at Cannon s Town

I must have or still do know him, my first from them was a Lambretta. Talking of the hill climb a friend of mine has several photos of the hill climb, he keeps saying he will go in the loft and get them, it will be very interesting when he does, he reckons people like Scobie, Robin Wilks, Steve Palk, Spargo etc. I just got to keep onto him.

I saw Wilks riding at a hillclimb in Barbon in Cumbria many years ago at which he came off on a hairpin, his wife was most worried that he may have damaged the bike! priceless. laugh#

The bike always came first, dumped mine with wife no.1 on the back and she was most upset when I got up and checked the bike first! laugh#

Well, how else would you have got home. Yes I did the hill climb till it finished, used to set up the timing gear as well following on from George Bateman. Ah - the garage in Causwayhead!

Just looking through the comments made on this subject and noticed two names who brought back memories, Ben Perrin and Tell Mann, I remember them well.

New Ben fairley well, worked with Tell on stage more than once, and knew him building as well, had a lot of fun with Tell.
