Ben Perrin’s fitness was well known throughout the town. I remember him as an all year round swimmer from the early Sunday morning dips off the Battery Rocks. His swallow dive off the high board was a classic – the towns own Johnny Weissmuller.
Marvelous !! - remember Ben as a window cleaner from when I lived in PZ in the 50's and later as the doorman at the Wintergardens - the string vest is the clincher...summer or winter...
